Certain programming languages, libraries, frameworks, and tools become popular and irresistible. When they are mentioned, everyone at the planning meeting jumps on the table and applauds. Others fall out of favor or fall from grace, causing sighs or blank stares. Everyone looks at their shoes. Perhaps last week they were incredibly hot, but that was then, and this is now.
