28 Years Later Trailer Might Be Teasing Zombie Cillian Murphy
first trailer 28 years after There is a lot of fear here. The brutal mix of violence and futile resistance reignites the sense of despair from the first film, although perhaps without the same moments of humanity and levity. This may also give us our first look at the fate of Cillian Murphy’s character.
With Danny Boyle returning to direct and Alex Garland once again handling the script, 28 years later The film shows survivors battling a resurgent angry virus that threatens to dismantle the remnants of normal society living on an island largely cut off from the rest of the world. The movie will be released on June 20, 2025, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer and Ralph Fiennes.
The most effective part of the trailer is a recitation of Rudyard Kipling’s poem “Boots,” which recounts the march during South Africa’s Second Boer War. “Try – try – try – try – think of something different – oh – God – help me – don’t go crazy!” the voiceover says. “(Boots-boots-boots-boots-up and down!) There are no discharges in war!”
The biggest mystery of the film may not be why the Rage Virus is back, but what Murphy’s character will be. A protagonist from the first film, he will appear in the third film, but it’s unclear how. At about 1 minute and 47 seconds into the trailer, an emaciated zombie corpse that looks like Murphy rises from a field of wildflowers. Maybe he was infected. Maybe he found a way to beat the virus. Sony senior executive teased before He’s back “in a surprising way, and in a growing way, let me put it that way.”
Murphy was still relatively unknown at the time. 28 days later Released in 2002. Peaky Blinders. Murphy returns to the Zombies franchise after winning an Oscar for his performance in Zombies last year. Oppenheimer.
