77% of Executives Say Autonomous AI Needs to be Built on Foundation of Trust

In its 25th annual Technology Vision report, Accenture predicted that artificial intelligence will continue to enable new levels of autonomy in organizations. The report says AI models will need people to have a high level of trust in their work to enable increased autonomy. In fact, 77 percent of executives believe that the true benefits of AI can only be unlocked if it is built on trust.

The report calls on leaders to prepare not only for artificial intelligence models not only for rapid adoption in many areas of business and life, but also for these models to act autonomously on behalf of people. He predicted that it would increase AI autonomy will also lead to increased autonomy for people and systems.

Four new trends in AI autonomy

Accenture Report identified four main Artificial Intelligence Trends the company predicts they’ll arrive over the next decade or so. The first, the Big Binary Bang, concerns the expansion of artificial intelligence. As artificial intelligence becomes more embedded in enterprise technology, development costs should decrease over time. This means that as artificial intelligence technologies develop, applications will transform and new systems will emerge.

The second trend, “Your Face in the Future,” focuses on AI personalization. As more and more companies accept Artificial Intelligence ToolsIt’s critical that they personalize their AI models to reflect their unique brand and voice. Otherwise, all interfaces and chatbots will look and sound the same, and consumers will have a hard time distinguishing one business from another.

The third trend, “When Master’s Students Find Their Body,” focuses on the intersection artificial intelligence and robotics. Accenture predicted that there would be a “tipping point” when fundamental models would change robotics, and hypothesized that these robots would become a physical extension of artificial intelligence’s cognitive models, becoming more versatile and durable.

The fourth and final trend, the New Learning Cycle, emphasizes the importance training AI models through use. Since AI is a learning technology, it becomes more effective the more people use it, thereby encouraging people to use it even more. Accenture calls this cycle the “New Learning Cycle.”
