8Bitdo’s Ultimate Wired Controller for Xbox drops to only $30
8Bitdo makes some of ours favorite controllers for all consoles and gaming devices, and you can now purchase an Xbox controller from them for just $30. The 8Bitdo Ultimate Wired Controller for Xbox is 33 percent off and nears its all-time low price. Considering that Xbox controllers from the manufacturer can cost around $60, this is an especially good deal.
This controller may be more affordable, but it’s not a cheap knockoff. It is licensed by Xbox and compatible with Xbox Series X, Series S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 and later; this means you can switch back and forth and use it with console and PC.
There are two additional buttons on the back that are not included with the official controller, and they can be useful for mapping (especially in PC games). To this end, the controller offers customizable button assignments and joystick/trigger sensitivity to control vibration. .
Hall effect joysticks and impulse triggers should improve durability and sensitivity while minimizing drift. There’s also a 3.5mm audio jack on the back for direct headphone connection. Other features include a classic d-pad and improved grip.
So what’s the catch? It’s right there in the title. It’s a wired controller, which is both a blessing and a curse. Wired controllers offer lower latency, making them the preferred choice for pro-level gamers, but still leave people tethered to a cable. It comes with a fairly long cable, almost ten feet long, but the range of a standard Bluetooth controller is about 20 feet.
