
Acer’s new gaming laptops with AI power won’t hurt your pockets
Acer introduced two new gaming laptops equipped with the last chips to include artificial intelligence functions. According to Angadget, Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 AI and Helios Neo 18 AI were announced at the recent Counter-Strike game tournament in Poland.
Laptops can run the processors to the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU, which facilitates their AI functions. Acer said that he intends that the Helios Neo 16 model becomes a portable game, and Helios Neo 18 is good for replacing a desktop computer.
The Predator Helios Neo 16 is equipped with a 16-inch OLED-display WQXGA with an update frequency of 240 Hz, a maximum brightness of 400 NIT, 100%DCI-P3 and 1 ms. Helios Neo 18 is equipped with an 18-inch WQXGA mini-exterior display with a frequency of update 250 Hz, DCI-P3 100%and 3 ms.
Predator Helios Neo 16 AI and Helios Neo 18 AI have simple and minimalist structures, with the Helios RGB logo on the rear panel, in addition to the “dynamic 4-zone” RGB-keyboard.
They have similar hardware support with 64 GB of RAM and up to 2 TB of the internal storage. Other similarities between the devices include Intel Killer Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E, for connecting, as well as NVIDIA G-Sync, Advanced Optimus and Mux Switch.
Helios Neo 16 supports Bluetooth 5.4 or higher, while Helios Neo 18 supports Bluetooth 5.3 or higher. Many of the two ports of input/output of laptops are also identical. Both devices also have 90-watt batteries.
Predator Helios Neo 16 AI will be available in North America in April at an initial price of $ 1900. Predator Helios Neo 18 AI will be available in North America in May at an initial price of 2200. They will also be available in Europe, in the Middle East and Africa in June at an initial price of 1700 euros and 1800 euros, respectively.
