In the US, the 20GB plan will increase from $9.99 to $14.99 per month for users already subscribed to it; increase by 50%. The 1TB plan for Photoshop and Lightroom remains unchanged at $19.99 per month. The 1TB Lightroom-only plan increases from $9.99 to $11.99 per month, an increase of 20%.
Large (cost growth) in Japan
Recent reports from Japan (originally published in Japanese) reveals 20 GB Photo Plan & Lightroom will receive a similar treatment there.
Currently, the monthly plan costs 1,180 yen per month, but upon renewal after January 15, 2025, the monthly plan will increase to 1,780 yen.
As in the US, any user who doesn’t sign up for the 20GB plan by January 15th will no longer be able to do so.
The report also claims that the annual lump sum option costing 14,080 yen (equivalent to approximately 1,173 yen per month) will remain available and will not be affected by the price increase.
Additionally, Adobe will provide a prorated refund for any remaining monthly plan period for those who upgrade to an annual plan.
