AMD (per video card) is expected to announce its budget Cape Clarkan and flagship Strix Halo Products next month in International Consumer Electronics Show 2025.Except previous leaksat least in the CPU departmentanother Krackan Point APU has surfaced Geek Benchmarks, Competes with Intel’s Lunar Lake Core Ultra 7 258V.
The leaked benchmark uses a Krackan Point engineering sample with the OPN code “100-000000713-40_Y” – most likely a Ryzen AI 7 350. It will be launched next year. The CPU contains eight cores, spread across two clusters, each containing four Zen 5 and four Zen 5c cores, with base and maximum frequencies of 2 GHz and 5.05 GHz respectively. Like all of AMD’s eight-core APUs, the Ryzen AI 7 350 has 16MB of L3 cache and 8MB of L2 cache.
Ryzen AI 7 350 ranks first with single-core and multi-core scores of 2677 and 11742 respectively. moon lake field, beating the Core Ultra 7 258V. It does lose to the Strix Point by a margin, but the latter has 50% more cores and threads and a wider power range. Compared to Hawk Point, the Ryzen AI 7 350 is 5% faster in single-core performance, but surprisingly lags behind in multi-core performance, possibly due to the earlier chip/software.
CPU | code name | single core | multi-core |
---|---|---|---|
Ryzen AI 7 350 | Cape Clarkan | 2677 | 11742 |
Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 | strix point | 2887 | 15244 |
Ryzen 7 8840H | point hawk | 2540 | 12532 |

Krackan Point (KRK for short) is a cost-effective alternative to AMD’s Strix Point APU under the Ryzen AI 300 name. These APUs are rumored to feature up to eight cores (four Zen 5 + four Zen 5c) in a hybrid configuration, with up to 16MB of L3 cache. iGPU (Integrated GPU) solution down to just 8 RDNA 3.5 compute units (Radeon 880M) – 16 CUs below Strix Point. There has been some discussion about a possible dual CCX layout (with separate ring bus and L3 cache for each core type), but that remains to be seen.
Competition with Lunar Lake will be fierce, but Krackan Point will generally target the mainstream market, with Copilot+ laptops rumored to start at $799. According to our Exhaustive testingthe Arc 140V (Lunar Lake) landed faster than the Radeon 890M (Strix Point); expect this delta to expand with Krakan Point.
