Analogue is the first 3D immersive collaboration app for Apple Vision Pro, Spatial 3D design app coming soon

Apple Vision Pro continues Get new apps Tailor-made for spatial computing. The latest news comes from the immersion experts at Spatial. This is a brand new app called Spatial Analogue. The company describes it as “the first collaborative 3D immersive experience platform on Apple Vision Pro” for professional 3D design workflows. Spatial also plans to release a second app for VisionOS called Analogue Designer in early 2025.

Spatial highlights four ways designers can use Analogue on Apple Vision Pro:

• Quickly visualize ideas in a complete 3D environment and immersion
• Collaborate securely from anywhere: across local teams or globally distributed design teams
• Prototype without coding to speed development
• View instantly on Apple Vision Pro for a full-fidelity interactive experience

The National Geographic Society is one of the companies working with Spatial, allowing them to “collaborate directly in a real-time immersive environment, inspiring a level of frictionless creativity in workflows that were previously filled with design challenges, internal and External team silos and compatibility barriers.

Analogue contains a set of scenarios for inspiration in three business design verticals:

• Car dashboard layout and garage collaboration room for automotive design
• Visual theatre, courtyards, photo galleries and spatial layouts for pre-visualization
• Meeting room and boxHAUS product design review induction

Analog function

The latest Apple Vision Pro app release focuses on three experiences:

• Collaborate instantly: Review designs instantly and enjoy face-to-face collaboration, no matter where your team or client is. Native SharePlay functionality during FaceTime calls enables a high-fidelity shared design experience.
• Vantage point: Create and explore various design ideas. Look at every detail from every angle.
• Asset Variants: Quickly test different versions of the same asset. Experience instant A/B testing as if everyone was in the same room.

Designer coming soon

In addition to launching Analogue today, Spatial also announced that it will launch native 3D design tools for Apple Vision Pro in early 2025.

Analogue Designer will include native support for OpenUSD, allowing upcoming VisionOS applications to “seamlessly integrate into previously cumbersome 3D workflows and significantly speed up design reviews while removing proprietary barriers,” Spatial said.
