Anker Recalling Over 70,000 Speakers Due to Fire Hazard
Anker Memories of the week Its Anker Soundcore (A3102) and PowerConf (A3302) speakers may overheat due to the internal lithium battery, posing a fire hazard.
Anker sold approximately 69,000 units in the United States and 9,764 units in Canada. All affected speakers were sold through Amazon between March 2023 and October 2023, with model numbers A3102016, A3302011, or A3302031.
Amazon users who purchased Anker speakers can check if they have an affected model by looking for the SN code on the bottom of the device. Enter on the Anker website. Anker and Amazon have contacted known buyers.
There have been 33 reported incidents of speaker lithium-ion batteries overheating, causing smoke and small fires. One person suffered minor burns due to a faulty speaker.
Customers with faulty speakers should stop using them, turn them off, and contact Anker For replacing speakers.
