It has been almost a week since the Apple Glowtime event, and this event finally revealed the mystery. iphone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models, many people are curious about how much RAM each device has.
This year may be more interesting, as Apple has previously mentioned a certain RAM threshold as the reason the iPhone 16 can run Apple information These features are not available in the iPhone 15, but Johny Srouji, Apple’s senior vice president of hardware technology, confirmed in an interview that these features are included in each new phone.
Geekerwan spoke with Srouji (Thanks to 9to5Mac), he explained the reason for all iPhone 16 models to be equipped with 8GB RAM.
Johny Srouji talks about 8GB iPhone RAM
“Our goal is to build the best products and provide the absolute best user experience. As it relates to Apple Intelligence, DRAM is one aspect. When we look at what we’re building, whether it’s silicon, hardware or software, We don’t want to be wasteful in many ways,” Srouji explains.
“We have a lot of data that tells us how to enable a feature, and Apple Intelligence is one of the very, very important features that we want to enable.”
“We look at different configurations, including compute, memory bandwidth, and memory capacity. Then we make the right trade-offs and balances where it makes the most sense. So Apple Intelligence is a major feature that leads us to believe we need Reaching 8GB.
Srouji also pointed out how 8GB of RAM will help other aspects of the iPhone experience, including “high-end, AAA gaming.”
He also praised the virtues of Apple’s efficiency core and pointed to the single-threaded performance of the entire Apple product line.
“When you look at the single-threaded performance core on all of our chips, it’s absolutely the best in the industry. We’re leading the industry. If you look at the efficiency core, again, we’re absolutely the best. We’re in Largely in the lead.
