
Apple donating to LA wildfire relief, helping Apple Card users
Apple donates to help victims of Los Angeles wildfires Apple Card users defer payments.
Apple Card users living in an area declared a disaster area by FEMA may be eligible to defer payments under a program launched by Apple on Thursday. Eligible users can enroll in the program through the Messages app, where they will need to contact Apple Card support.

If the user’s spending is limited, it will remain limited for the duration of the program. Previously scheduled user payments will be processed as normal unless the payment is canceled via Apple walletonline or with the help of an Apple Card specialist.
Wildfires in the Los Angeles area caused significant damage, destroying thousands of buildings. Thousands of people have fled the area and the current death toll is unknown at the time of writing. At least six people are known to have died as a result of the forest fires.
IN post on social networks on X, Apple CEO Tim Cook called the Los Angeles fires heartbreaking. He also praised the heroic efforts of first responders and said Apple would make a donation to support relief efforts.
