Apple Fitness+ Announces New Programs, Strava Integration, and More

Apple today declare Apple Fitness+ will get new exercise programs, breathing meditations, Strava integration, and more.

Strava users will be able to share Fitness+ workouts to the Strava app, which will display rich details such as episode images, episode numbers, trainer names and metrics to showcase to their Strava community. Renowned Strava athletes will also join the Fitness+ coaching team as special guests for year-round workouts. New and existing Strava subscribers can now redeem up to three months of Fitness+ for free.

The new progressive strength training program will help guide users through the process of building and maintaining strength. The three-week program features 12 30-minute exercises for each major muscle group and is designed to be repeatable so users can add weight as they get stronger. The first week focuses on progressive loading, the second week focuses on time under tension, and the third week focuses on dynamic power.

A new pickleball program designed to improve strength, endurance and agility through a variety of exercises. It features pickleball champion Catherine Parenteau, ranked No. 1 in the world in both singles and doubles.

Yoga Peak Pose is a new workshop-style class focused on a single pose to help users build confidence and skill, including a 10-minute preparation process and a corresponding 10-minute practice session.

The new Breath Meditation Introductory Course teaches users how to use simple meditation techniques to enhance focus, increase energy and reduce stress. There are five 10-minute meditations to choose from. Breathing is now also a meditation theme in Fitness+, joining Calm, Sleep, and Sound.

The new Apple Fitness+ content will be available starting Monday, January 6th.

New episodes of Time to Walk will premiere on January 13, starring Adam Scott, Steve Aoki, Lana Condor, Tiffany Haddish, Rita Ora, Daddy Yankee and Maddie Ziegler. Artist Spotlight also continues with new workout playlists dedicated to individual artists, including Janet Jackson, Coldplay, Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar.
