Apple wants as much of its artificial intelligence as possible to run locally: not relying on the cloud means faster response times and better user privacy. But as we’ve now seen, storage space comes at a cost.
If you wish, you can turn off Apple Intelligence: Settings are located in Apple Intelligence and Siri On your iPhone, iPad or Mac. You can also choose not to install it yet, as it is not enabled by default on these devices.
However, you can’t pick and choose which AI features you want: it’s all or none. If you don’t have enough storage space on your device, you may want to think twice about enabling Apple Intelligence (or buying more) iCloud Storage space of course).
