Apple Leaker Issues Apology: ‘Profound and Expensive Mistake’

Last year, we reported that Apple sued her former engineer and programmer Andrew Audu for providing reporters with confidential information about plans for the company’s future, including details about the magazine’s application, Vision Pro Hearset and much more.

As reported 9to5MACOn Thursday, the Supreme Court of the Santa Clara district rejected the lawsuit after Apple and Aude reached an agreement to resolve this issue. The judicial document for the dismissal of the case does not provide any specific information about the agreement, but on the same day the audit issued a public apology.

In the message on the Social Networks platform X, previously known as Twitter, the audience said that the information leak was “deep and expensive error”.

Auda’s full apology:

I spent almost eight years as an engineer -programmer at Apple. During this time, I was given access to the confidential internal information of Apple, including that then they were unprofitable products and functions. But instead of keeping this information secret, I made a mistake, sharing this information with reporters who illuminated the company. I did not realize this at that time, but it turned out to be a deep and expensive mistake. Hundreds of professional relations that I spent years were destroyed. And my successful career as an engineer -programmer was disrupted, and it will probably be very difficult to restore it. The leak was not worth it. I sincerely apologize to my former colleagues, who not only tirelessly worked on Apple projects, but also work hard to keep them secret. They deserve better.
