Apple Likely to Make Vision Pro Lineup More Affordable in Two Ways

Apple plans to launch the next generation of Vision headphones as early as 2026, and the price may be more affordable. According to TrendForce.

In line with previous rumors, the Taiwanese research firm said today that Apple plans to launch the next Vision Pro and a mainstream headset, which may be named “Apple Vision” without the “Pro” modifier.

TrendForce said that for the next generation Vision Pro, Apple may consider sourcing parts from suppliers other than Sony to reduce production costs, a move that may help lower the price of the headphones. Currently, the Vision Pro starts at $3,499 in the United States, which naturally limits the sales of the device.

The device may come with a less advanced display to keep costs down.

“Possible display options for this model include a glass-based OLED display and an LCD with LTPO backplane technology, both of which offer a balance between performance and cost,” TrendForce said in a press release.
