Apple One got three recent additions you might have missed, here’s what’s new
Apple One was released in 2019 as a bundle of various Apple services. Fresh content is always being added to channels like TV+, Arcade and Music, but actual service updates or changes are rare. However, Apple recently introduced three new benefits among its various Apple One services. Here’s what’s new.
Expanded access to original Apple TV+ podcasts
I bet most readers have no idea that Apple produces original podcasts and that Apple TV+ subscribers get early access to them.
Apple has experimented with podcast production in the past, such as companion shows to TV+ series. But in the second half of 2024, the company began to expand.
Apple now produces podcasts under the Apple TV+ brand, which actually have nothing to do with the TV service. It’s confusing, I know.
Examples include:
Apple’s original podcasts come out weekly, with new episodes every week, even for non-subscribers.
But Apple TV+ subscribers get a special benefit: the full set of episodes becomes available immediately on day one.
So while non-subscribers can only listen to the first one or two episodes of the show, TV+ (and Apple One) subscribers can listen to it from the beginning.
Sudoku in the Apple News app
iOS 18.2 debuted last month with some major updates for iPhone users, including Genmoji, ChatGPT integrationAnd Mail app redesign.
iOS 18.2 also introduced a new benefit for Apple News+ (and Apple One Premier) subscribers: daily Sudoku puzzles.
Apple regularly expands its collection of puzzles in the Apple News app, all of which are only available to News+ subscribers.
Daily Sudoku joins the existing list of crosswords, quartiles and mini crosswords available with an active News+ subscription. Essentially, Apple should big competitor scenario entertaining news readers.
Fitness+ updates
Apple Fitness+ is perfect for achieving any 2025 health goals you have. just launched integration with Strava, as well as several new curated programs:
Both of these additions will make Fitness+ a more attractive option in the coming year.
New benefits of Apple One: summary
Apple One doesn’t update its offerings often, but it’s nice to see continued investment from Apple. Providing more value for the same subscription price is always a win for customers, and I can’t wait to see how the company can expand Apple One in the future—perhaps with more home-focused efforts soon.
What changes do you hope to see in Apple One in the future? Let us know in the comments.
