Apple Releases tvOS 18.2 With Snoopy Screen Savers and Projector Support
Apple today released tvOS 18.2, the latest version of the tvOS 18 operating system launched in September. tvOS 18.2 is released more than a month after Apple released tvOS 18.1 and is available for Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD models.
tvOS 18.2 can be downloaded using the Settings app on Apple TV. Open Settings and go to System > Software Update to get new software. Apple TV users who have automatic software updates enabled will automatically upgrade to tvOS 18.2.
tvOS 18.2 adds a new set of Snoopy screensavers as alternatives to aviation, memory, and portrait screensaver options, plus natural language search support Xili Find movies, music, and TV shows.
The update also includes an option for Apple TV to automatically detect the best aspect ratio for your TV or projector, and the projector’s new aspect ratio. Options include 16:9, 21:9, 2.37:1, 2.39:1, 2.40:1, DCI 4K and 32:9.
