Apple Watch just gained a helpful new feature for inspiring you to stay active
apple watch Recently learned a new trick for clients who need to take a day, week, or month off without interrupting continuous activity. watchOS 11 and iOS 18 allow users to temporarily pause the activity loop to check out highly requested user features. Additionally, today’s release of watchOS 11.2 and iOS 18.2 includes a range of new rewards to help you stay motivated to workout and stay active throughout the day.
All rings are closed for awards
The activity ring contains three goals: move, stand, and exercise. Standing and exercising were originally fixed at 12 hours and 30 minutes per day, but Apple has added the ability to customize these metrics in recent years. Kids can even have their own set of metrics with the Move Ring, which tracks time spent outdoors instead of calories burned.
Starting today, Apple Watch customers can unlock a new category of rewards: All Rings Closed. As the name suggests, these rewards are earned when a milestone number of days is reached with all three activity rings closed.
You can unlock new badges when you close all three rings for 365 days, 500 days, 1000 days, or even 3500 days and beyond. You can view your rewards in the Fitness app (formerly Activity) on Apple Watch and iPhone.
Fun fact: The Apple Watch first hit the market on April 24, 2015, making the 3,500-day usage period the highest reward currently available to consumers. On December 3, we just passed the 3,500-day mark. Expect new milestones to be unlocked as they become possible.
