Aqara makes smart home splash at CES, with touchscreen control panel and more

Smart home company Aqara announced no less than nine new products at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. However, most of them won’t be available in the US until the end of the year.

These include a large touch panel that serves multiple functions as a smart light switch, controller, and display for other smart home devices. Zigby hub and Make a difference bridge for Aqara Zigbee devices…

The company presented its new products at CES 2025.

Aqara continues to focus on a user-friendly and intuitive interface with the launch of its first built-in control panels to the global market. These include S1 Plus Hub Panel, Touch watch face V1 And Touch switch S100 USA. Featuring a sleek touchscreen interface, these devices provide centralized control of the entire home, allowing users to control smart devices and scenes—all without the need for a smartphone. Aqara also announces the upcoming release of its next generation dual-protocol smart switches – Light switch H2 And Dimmer H2 – to the North American market.

Interoperability remains at the core of Aqara’s strategy, and the company continues to expand its Thread portfolio with new sensors and edge routers. Multi presence sensor FP300 is a battery-powered, multi-sensor solution for people detection and environmental monitoring, as well as Climate sensor W100 offers advanced indoor climate control capabilities. Aqara’s expanding line of matter controllers includes entry-level models. Hub M100 with a very compact design as well as G410 Doorbell Camera Hub this increases the security and connectivity of your home.

The star of the show is the Panel Hub S1 Plus touchscreen controller.

This premium in-wall panel provides centralized control of your entire smart home through a single interface, allowing users to intuitively interact with their home without using a smartphone. It replaces the traditional light switch and is designed to control and automate up to two light sources. With dual-band Wi-Fi and a 6.9-inch touchscreen, the panel can wirelessly control a wide range of devices such as cameras (including live view), door locks, thermostats, lights, curtains and more, as well as trigger scenes and procedures. Moreover, S1 Plus functions as a Zigbee hub and Matter bridge for Aqara Zigbee devices.

The company says it will launch later this month in Europe and in the US later this year.

Availability of other new products varies from the current quarter to the end of this year.

This follows the launch Smart lock Akara U300 in October with support for Apple Home Key, Matter and Thread – and new water valve controller last month.
