ASUS Upcoming ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM is a 27-inch 4K 240 Hz Gaming Monitor

ASUS has published a product page for its upcoming ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM gaming monitor, which will compete with MSI MPG272URX which will go on sale as the first 27-inch display with 4K resolution and a frequency of 240 Hz. The PG27UCDM features a 26.5-inch panel that uses what ASUS calls 4th generation QD-OLED technology, which the company claims offers longer lifespan than previous generations of OLED panels. The panel has typical OLED features such as 0.03ms response time, 1000 cd/m² peak brightness, 99 percent DCI-P3 color space coverage, and VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black. The display also supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync, as well as many ASUS dedicated gaming features such as ELMB, GameFast input technology, Shadow Bost and DisplayWidget.

Inputs consist of a DisplayPort 2.1 port with UHBR20 support (80 Gbps), USB Type-C with DP-Alt mode and USB PD power up to 90 W, and a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports. There’s also a three-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gbps) hub with what we assume is a USB Type-B input and a headphone jack. The reason for the supposed USB Type-B input is that the specs state KVM support and this would only be possible if there was some sort of USB input, but the specs don’t mention this. The stand is a typical higher-end model with tilt, swivel, swivel and height adjustments, as well as ASUS Aura Sync lighting and a tripod mount on the top. ASUS says power consumption is around 80W, although this does not include USB PD. The big plus is that ASUS will include a DisplayPort 2.1 DP80 cable, which, for example, Sony decided not to include in the package. INZON M9 II which was launched in September last year. There is no word on the price of the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM, but it is expected to cost around $1,000.
