New Asus Zenbook 14 (UX3405CA) is a thin and light 14-inch laptop, less than 0.6 inches thick and weighing 2.82 pounds. But it has a fairly large 75Wh battery and supports up to 45W Intel Core Ultra 9 285H Arrow Lake-H processor.

Asus says its new Intel-powered laptop should be available in the first quarter of 2025, starting at $1,000. And like all Zenbook-branded laptops released over the past few years, all versions of this laptop will come with OLED displays. But some models have better display specs than others.

That’s because the $1,000 entry-level configuration has a 1,920 x 1,200 pixel OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, while the higher-end models, which will sell for around $1,300, have 2,880 x 1,800 pixel displays and refresh rate 120 Hz.

All models come with features such as two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 support, and 65W USB Type-C chargers. And they all owe their lightweight construction to a chassis made from a combination of aluminum and magnesium alloy.

But the entry-level model is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265H processor, 16GB of LPDDR5x memory and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, while the more expensive versions are equipped with Core Ultra 9 285H chips, 32GB of memory and 1TB of internal storage.

Since the laptop uses built-in LPDDR5x memory, the RAM is not user upgradeable. But users can remove and replace the SSD, which fits into the M.2 2280 slot.
