Audio-Technica’s latest earbuds have marathon battery life and a useful trick

Audio-Technica’s wireless headphones don’t always generate the same buzz as bigger brands, but they consistently perform well, meeting all the most important criteria. At CES 2025 the company presents new ATH-CKS50TW2. These headphones have the usual Audio-Technica tuning and sound quality, but this latest model has two main advantages.

Firstly, the battery life seems almost endless. Audio-Technica says the ATH-CKS50TW2 can provide a total of 65 hours of playback with noise cancellation turned off: 25 hours from fully charged headphones, plus another 40 hours from the charging case. With ANC enabled, these figures increase to a still very impressive 15 hours from the headphones and 25 hours from the case.

Another useful new feature should prevent the battery from draining even if you put the headphones in your pocket. without their business. Audio-Technica says its Magnetic Switch technology allows headphones to connect magnetically. When this happens, they automatically turn off, so you don’t have to worry about them playing music in your pocket and draining your battery for no reason.
