
Benchmark test of Galaxy S25 Ultra reveals overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite “for Galaxy”
According to benchmark tests, the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy AP is configured with two main CPU cores clocked at up to 4.47GHz and six high-performance CPU cores clocked at up to 3.53GHz. The difference between the regular Snapdragon 8 Elite and the overclocked version of the chipset is that the “for Galaxy” version has a clock speed increased by 0.15GHz. In other words, on non-Galaxy phones, the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s main CPU core frequency can reach up to 4.32GHz. In the “for Galaxy” version, the maximum frequency of the main core is 4.47GHz.

Surprisingly, despite having an overclocked main core, the multi-core and single-core benchmark scores reached 9793 and 3049 respectively. The reference device using the same AP has higher single-core and multi-core scores on Geekbench. The reference device, equipped with 24GB LPDDR5X RAM, scored 47% higher on Geekbench 6, beating other flagship Android chips.
Although the Geekbench score is Galaxy S25 Ultra Not as impressive as one might hope, and that doesn’t necessarily mean in the long run that the Snapdragon 8 Elite or Galaxy S25 Ultra They won’t be the strong men you expect them to be.
