Best Noise-Canceling Headphones (2025): Over-Ears, Wireless Earbuds, Workout Pairs

Now that most new headphones and earbuds offer at least some noise cancellation, it would be impossible (and counterproductive) to list everything we like above. If you haven’t found yours yet, here are a few more favorites to check out.

Soundcore Life Q30 for $60-$85: The Anker Soundcore line is nothing if not conscious value for money, and the Life Q30 provides an embarrassing list of extras for their often bargain prices. You’ll get clear and warm sound, great features, long battery life, and noise cancellation that gets the job done even on a long flight, although it’s on par with flagship pairs. It’s hard to complain when they cost hundreds less, especially with sale prices that sometimes go as high as just over $50.

Soundcore Space A40 for $60: Another great buy from the Anker Soundcore brand is the Space A40 (8/10, WIRED recommends) are one of our favorite cheap headphones, especially as their prices continue to fall. You’ll find a sleek design, plenty of features, quality sound, and excellent noise cancellation for its class.

Apple Beats Fit Pro for $199: The Beats Fit Pro are an older but still stellar pair of wireless headphones with great sound, easy-to-use physical buttons, and solid noise cancellation. Add to that six hours of battery life, spatial audio compatibility with Apple Music and other services, and you have one of the best pairs of headphones ever “designed in California.”

Sony WF-1000XM4 for $290.: Sony WF-1000XM4 (7/10, WIRED recommends) still have some of the best noise-canceling performance we’ve ever heard from an in-ear headphone, and offer the same super-customizable sound we love from Sony’s over-ear headphones. They’re getting harder to find and are too big for smaller ears, but the extra size makes for fantastic battery life.

Amazon Echo Buds for $45: Amazon Echo Buds second generation (8/10, WIRED recommends) don’t offer the same quietness as the best headphones on our list, but they’re still a good inexpensive option. Amazon’s built-in Alexa voice assistant lets you set timers, check the weather, and control your headphones hands-free. The buds sound pretty good, making them worth a look in a few years.

Epos/Sennheiser Adapt 660 for $152: Want great sound, a comfortable fit, and high-quality noise-canceling technology for less than what you pay for Sony or Bose headphones? Check out the collaboration between Epos and Sennheiser. Epos/Sennheiser Adapt 660 (8/10, WIRED recommends) sound fantastic and are some of the lightest noise canceling headphones I’ve ever worn. They also come with excellent microphones that ensure complete silence when calling and using Zoom.
