BOOX Note Max with 13.3-inch E-Ink Display Launches Worldwide
The Note Max supports Android, specifically Android 13. Needless to say, this means that a lot of apps and features can be installed separately. The 13.3-inch capacitive touch display with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity has a resolution of 3200 x 2400, which translates to a commendable PPI value of 300. The 2.8GHz octa-core processor takes care of all computing needs, coupled with 6GB of memory storage. Of course, the Note Max isn’t designed to be powerful, but decent performance is always welcome.
However, there is no front light, which makes using the device at night quite tiring. Essentially, E-Ink displays are not backlit, which means reading and taking notes late at night will have to be accompanied by an external light source, which can be annoying to those around you. The kit includes a 3,700mAh battery, which should provide decent battery life. At 615 grams, the Note Max is heavier, sure, but that’s to be expected given its 13.3-inch form factor.
