The big Call of Duty: Squid Game crossover event is approaching full speedand the newest DLC has arrived in the store. Players can now purchase a VIP package that allows players to wear special masks inspired by the TV show.

The VIPs Tracer Pack, as it’s called, includes two operators – the VIP Panther Mask and the VIP Lion Mask. The set also includes the Ultimate Grenade Launcher, the Varnished Sniper Rifle, and the Atlas Assassin SMG. The kit also includes a new “Death Plated” frag grenade skin.

What’s more, players receive the new finishing move “Kicks Up”, as well as the “Gilded” emblem, “Must List” calling card, and “Very Important Player” loading screen. You can see this content in action in the video below. The package costs 2,400 COD points, or about $20 USD.

Call of Duty’s Squid Game event also includes the Pink Guards Tracer Pack and the upcoming Yong Hee Tracer Pack. They are not included in the new Squid Game Event Pass, which is a paid battle pass specifically for the Squid Game event and includes its own set of unique rewards based on the show.

The Squid Game Event Pass is the first such microtransaction offering in Call of Duty. Its release sparked debate among players about how far Activision would go to make money from microtransactions. Activision initially didn’t reveal the price of the Event Pass, but later said, confirming that it would be 1,100 COD points, or about $10.

In addition to new store packs, the Call of Duty/Squid Game event brought new modes to the game, including Red Light, Green Light, and Pentathlon. As for TV shows, the second season of Squid debuted on Netflix in late December and became hit in terms of viewership.
