The central theme of the exhibition is inspired by the cultural and symbolic importance of masks. In addition to the MASK series, the exhibition presents work from the IWAMURA ‘Neo Jomon: Stacking Noration series. These sculptures were inspired by the observations of the artist about his son, exploring the world through the game. Like composed toys, ceramic sculptures consist of two parts that are dynamically connected, forming coated pieces. Bright glaze, soft shapes and textured surfaces are distinctive signs of the distinctive artistic style of Ivamura.

The ass seen in Ross + Kramer, the process of crafting En Iwamura includes resolution of manual clay forms to dry air before using various tools to create complex surface patterns. These grabial designs cause the meditative qualities of Zen Buddhist gardens and draw inspiration from the ceramics of the Japanese period Jōmon. This technique fills sculptures with a sense of historical continuity, while maintaining modern aesthetics.
