CES 2025: Lutron Caséta smart lighting integrates smart shades
Lutron Electronics announced Monday that it is adding DIY smart window treatments to its Caséta smart lighting brand. The curtains, taken from Lutron’s Serena smart curtain product line, have long been controlled by Lutron’s Caséta smart hub, app and remote.
It looks like the new version of Lutron’s DIY-friendly smart curtains will have a new pricing model: Caséta smart curtains (roller and cellular) are available in any width up to 48 inches wide and in any length up to 80 inches long, priced at $399. However, your color choices will be limited to white or gray.
Optional blackouts are available for an additional $30. Larger shades (up to 96 inches wide and 104 inches long) are also available for an additional fee. it seems Lutron’s smart wooden windows blinds Will remain in the Serena family.
Lutron Caséta smart curtains will be available in roller and honeycomb (honeycomb) varieties.

These prices include battery-powered motors in the shades, but you’ll need to purchase a hub, remote, and/or in-wall controller to turn them on, off, and schedule them individually (unless you want to rely on the Caséta smartphone app and/or smart speakers ). Of course, if you already own a Caséta smart lighting product, you already at least have this hub.
Although Lutron is a member of Connectivity Standards Allianceso far, it has not caught up with the Matter trend of body development. But I don’t think the lack of Matter certification is a disadvantage. The Caséta ecosystem is already compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple Home, Google Home, Sonos smart products, and more.
I Review Lutron’s Serena Smart Tints Back in 2019, I was impressed by this product. The 34 x 58 inch shade cost $474 at the time, but I could choose from a variety of fabrics and colors.
