CoD: Black Ops 6 Includes A Paid Event Pass For Squid Game Collab

New updates are planned for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and war zone January 3, including the recently announced Squid game linkage event. In addition to the new carrier bundles, the event also includes other Squidward-themed rewards, but some of those items will be locked behind an additional paywall.

It has been confirmed that the “Premium Track” of the event pass will cost 1,100 Call of Duty points. This is approximately equivalent to US$10.

In the past, Call of Duty has also included other major IP collaborations, as well as themed event rewards fall out, The Walking DeadDune, Warhammer, and more. With the exception of store bundles, all event rewards are available for free by completing challenges or simply earning XP. The upcoming Squid Games event has the potential to be the first to lock in some of the rewards at an additional cost.

Black Ops 6 currently costs $70 to play, with the option of a $10 standard battle pass or a $30 ultra-premium BlackCell pass each season. It’s also available through multiple Game Pass programs on Xbox and PC.

A trailer for the crossover between Call of Duty and Squidward can be seen above, showcasing several Operator costumes themed to the show. The first season of Call of Duty is currently coming to an end, and the second season should arrive around the end of January.
