College Football Playoff: Quarterfinal Matchups, TV Schedule, How to Watch and More

12-man team college football playoff It’s now an eight-team playoff. There weren’t any upsets in the first round, which set up some important quarterfinal matchups, starting with No. 3 Boise State and No. 6 Penn State in the Fiesta Bowl on New Year’s Eve. Three more quarterfinals will be played on New Year’s Day, with No. 4 Arizona State taking on No. 5 Texas, No. 1 Oregon State and No. 8 No. 1 Oregon State in the Peach Bowl. Ohio State will play No. 2 Georgia in the Rose Bowl and No. 7 Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl.

Every game from the remaining CFP games will be broadcast on ESPN. If you don’t have a cable or satellite TV subscription, you can subscribe to Live TV streaming services. Keep reading to see the full playoff schedule and the cheapest ways to watch the games next month.

The CFP will resume play with its first quarterfinal games on New Year’s Eve and the national championship game on Monday, January 20th. Here is the remaining schedule (all times Eastern):

Quarterfinals:

Tuesday, December 31

  • Fiesta Bowl: No. 3 Boise State vs. No. 6 Penn State, 7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, January 1

  • Peach Bowl: No. 4 Arizona State vs. No. 5 Texas, 1 p.m.
  • Rose Bowl: No. 1 Oregon vs. No. 8 Ohio State, 5 p.m.
  • Sugar Bowl: No. 2 Georgia vs. No. 7 Notre Dame, 8:45 p.m.

Semifinals:

Thursday, January 9

Friday, January 10

CFP National Championship:

  • Monday, January 20, 7:30 p.m.
