Configuring Citrix DaaS Monitor for Comprehensive Infrastructure Monitoring

The Citrix DaaS Monitor service now allows monitoring of Citrix infrastructure elements such as Cloud Connector, Provisioning Services, and Storefront. In this blog, we will explore how to monitor these servers using Citrix DaaS Monitor.

Set up Citrix infrastructure monitoring

Citrix Cloud automatically monitors the status of cloud connectors without the need to install any additional agents. As part of Citrix Cloud monitoring, Citrix captures the following thresholds from servers and provides visibility to administrators.

  1. CPU usage%

  2. Memory usage %

  3. Disk IOPS

  4. Disk latency (ms)

  5. Last boot time

View cloud connector monitoring.

To check the cloud connector monitoring status, go to Citrix Cloud –> DaaS –> Monitoring and select “Infrastructure” in the monitoring window.

You have access to three tabs: Cloud Connector, Configuration Services, and Storefront.

Selecting a cloud connector instance will display detailed monitoring information in the panel.

You can also set up real-time alerts for any anomalies in your Cloud Connector instance. For assistance configuring alerts, see my blog on the subject association.

Configure monitoring of Provisioning Services and StoreFront.

To configure monitoring of provisioning services and storefronts, click the Settings tab under Monitoring, then click Manage.

In the Create Connection window, you can download an agent to deploy on your configuration server or storefront.

During the installation process, you will be prompted for a mutual authentication key, which should be entered in the Authentication Connection section under the “Make a Connection” window, as shown in the image below.
