Deals: OnePlus 13 launches, Poco X7 and X7 Pro arrive in Europe as well

OnePlus 13 reached the global level earlier this week. The phone is a little more expensive this time around, but the 16/512GB variant is available with a €100 discount, bringing its price down to the price of the OnePlus 12 last year. There is also a cheaper 12/256 GB model, but without a discount. We are also waiting for the OnePlus 13R to launch.

We took OnePlus 13 for photo tour of Sri Lanka and have detailed reviewwhat you can check – video review too much. The company has committed 4 OS updates and six years of security updates.

Xiaomi launched the new Poco X7 series this week and the pair are already available in the UK. There are two models, vanilla and Pro, which differ mainly in performance and battery.

Poco X7 Pro is powered by Dimensity 8400 Ultra processor and faster UFS 4.0 storage. The displays on both models are essentially the same, and both are excellent – flat 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED panels with 12-bit colors (Dolby Vision, HDR10+) and Gorilla Glass 7i.

These displays have a resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels. The phone has a large 6000mAh battery with 90W HyperCharge technology (100% in 42 minutes).

The vanilla Poco X7 is €70 cheaper, but its price drops to the Dimensity 7300 Ultra (which is based on older ARMv8 technology rather than v9 like the 8400 Ultra) and UFS 2.2 storage. Additionally, the battery is smaller at 5110 mAh with slower 45W charging (100% in 52 minutes).

Both phones are IP68 rated but use Gorilla Glass Victus to protect the screen. They have the same cameras – a 50 MP main camera (1/1.95 inches, OIS), an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle (120°) and a 20 MP selfie camera. Note that due to the older chipset, the X7 can’t record 4K@60fps (maximum 4K@30fps), but the X7 Pro does have that capability.

Coming back to the X7 Pro, we can compare it with its F series cousin, the Poco F6, which costs almost the same. F6 has a more powerful chipset, Snapdragon 8s 3rd generationand a nearly identical 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED display with 12-bit color and 1220p+ resolution (using Gorilla Glass Victus).

However, the IP64 rating only provides basic waterproofing, and the 5,000mAh battery with 90W charging is underpowered by 1,000mAh. The 50+8 MP main camera and the 20 MP front camera are not identical, but very similar.

A more expensive alternative is the Realme GT 6T, which is 60 euros more expensive for the same 8/256 GB configuration as the X7 Pro. This one uses Snapdragon 7+ 3rd generation A chipset that also has a Cortex-X4 core, like the 8s Gen 3. The display is larger, 6.78 inches, and it’s a 120Hz LTPO panel (10-bit, 1264 x 2780 pixels, GG Victus 2).

Water resistance is slightly better than the F6 (IP65), but this phone is still not rated for submersion in water. A 5,500mAh battery makes up the difference and supports 120W fast charging. The camera setup is nothing special (though the 32MP selfie is commendable), unlike the more expensive GT 6 (no T).
