
Discovery+ Prices Are Going Up Next Month
The New Year will not bring good news Discovery+ subscribers as the service raises prices on both of its plans in the US.
Discovery Plus, owned by media conglomerate Warner Bros. Discovery primarily presents documentaries and reality shows from Discovery Channel, HGTV, Magnolia Network and TCL. After the merger, Warner Bros. and Discovery in 2022, the service has retained its autonomy, although much of its library is also available on Max.
In 2024, subscribers to streaming platforms were inundated with messages about price increases. Costs have increased for most leading services such as Disney+, Hulu, Max, Peacock And Paramount Plus. Discovery Plus, on the other hand, hasn’t raised prices since 2023… until now.
Luckily, the price increase for Discovery Plus won’t be much – the cost per tier will increase by one dollar.
So the prices will look like this:
- Discovery+ ad-supported plan – Increase from $4.99 to $5.99 per month.
- Discovery+ Plan No Ads – Increase from $8.99 to $9.99 per month.
Current users will see a price increase during or after their next billing cycle. February 7, 2025 Those who want to connect to the service now will already see updated subscription prices.
There is currently no information that the price increase will also occur in the UK.
