Dreame claims the X50 can climb stairs up to 6 cm (about 2.4 inches) high thanks to its “ProLeap system,” which uses a vacuum-assisted motorized arm that can rotate and move it along the steps. So while the X50 won’t be able to climb a full-size staircase (according to Google, the average staircase height in a home is 7 to 8 inches), it should be able to negotiate smaller steps and other obstacles that might arise. may confuse other robot vacuum cleaners.

We saw it in action at CES, and the X50 was actually able to maneuver up and down small steps repeatedly. And for those worried about the mechanical legs breaking, Dream says the robot vacuum cleaner can withstand an average of about 30,000 “actions.”

In addition to being able to climb stairs, the X50 can maneuver under furniture and recognize up to 200 types of objects, which helps it detect obstacles in its path. It also has a built-in hot water mop and a special brush that allows you to sweep your hair without tangling it.

Dreame opens pre-orders for the X50 on January 7th. People who pre-order also get an extended two-year warranty and an additional cleaning kit. The vacuum cleaner will officially go on sale on Amazon and the Dreame website on February 14th.
