EvieAI Health Assistant Unveiled for Smart Ring at CES 2025

Evie, eh smart ring designed specifically for women, gets a new feature in the form of an AI-powered health assistant that wants to be a more reliable source of your health queries than ChatGPT and better than its competitors such as Oura.

IN CES 2025Movano Health says EvieAI is the first-ever wearable-based virtual wellness assistant that has been trained using data from more than 100,000 medical journals to ensure you get more accurate answers to your queries.

The assistant will be accessible through the Evie smartphone app, and for those wary of sharing all things health with an AI chatbot, Movano Health says it adheres to standard encryption protocols to ensure data is protected when shared and stored.

This should mean that any chats with EvieAI cannot be traced back to individual users for privacy purposes.

Movano Health has plans to expand the capabilities of its artificial health assistant to offer personalized answers based on data collected by the smart ring and registered in the app by users.

This will include things like heart rate, blood oxygen levels, skin temperature, exercise and mood. However, as mentioned, this feature is planned for the future.

For now, existing Evie Ring owners can access the EvieAI beta for free. While it’s not the Evie Ring 2, the addition of new features to the existing Ring should be welcome news for existing users and for a smart ring that has had some mixed reviews since it went on sale.

Competition has also increased since the Evie Ring was first introduced in 2022 and then launched in 2024.

Artificial intelligence in wearables in general is still in its infancy, so it will be interesting to see if this makes the Evie Ring more attractive or if Movano Health needs to do more to dissuade potential smart ring owners from choosing it over similar devices.
