Fallout Season 2 Filming Halted Due to LA Fires
Production on some of Hollywood’s biggest shows, including the next season of Fallout, has come to a screeching halt after several major fires broke out in Los Angeles County.
Diversity reports that filming permits in fire-damaged areas have been revoked, meaning production on Fallout’s second season has been delayed until Friday. NBCUnviersal reports that production on Hacks, Loot, Ted, Suits: LA and Happy’s Place has also been suspended.
Elsewhere, CBS has halted production on “NCIS,” “NCIS: Origins” and “After Midnight,” while Disney has suspended production on “Doctor Odyssey,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
Finally, Warner Bros. in Burbank was closed, affecting Abbot Elementary, among others.
Amazon will be looking to launch Fallout soon, as the first season was a surprise success for the streamer and perhaps even for fans, who weren’t given many details about the series before its premiere.
Fallout, created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy of Westworld fame, tells the original story of the post-apocalyptic role-playing game series, featuring three characters: Vault native Lucy McLean, Brotherhood of Steel squire Maximus, and Cooper Howard, a ghoul who survived the War that destroys. America.
In its first 16 days, Fallout attracted 65 million viewers, becoming the second most watched show on Prime Video after The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The show sparked renewed interest in a new Fallout game, although Bethesda itself is primarily looking to develop a new Elder Scrolls game.
Check out the full IGN story review first season, and hopefully production on these shows will resume quickly.
