Lenovo is set to launch the Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3, a unique tablet designed specifically for mobile gamers. This device was presented at CES 2025. Apart from its gaming focus, it can also be a fantastic alternative to Android iPad mini.
The Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 is powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, which should provide smooth and fast performance for most gaming applications. The same chip powers the Samsung Galaxy S24 line, which includes Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 PlusAnd Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The tablet supports ray tracing technology, allowing developers to create stunning gaming environments with realistic lighting and shadows for an enhanced gaming experience.
The device features an 8.8-inch PureSight touchscreen display with a 2.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. This high refresh rate is especially beneficial for fast-paced games. However, the storage capacity may be too small for some mobile gamers.

To further enhance the user experience, Lenovo has included two bypass USB-C charging ports, allowing gamers to game while charging without interruption. This is a segment of the Android tablet market that is woefully underserved, and if the Legion Tab Gen 3 arrives as Lenovo promises, it could be the Android version of the iPad mini we’ve been so desperately waiting for.
