Few tablets can compete with a true gaming laptop like ROG Flow Z13 when it was released in 2022. However, now there’s a new version – and it really takes the boat to the next level.
2025 version. Asus ROG Flow Z13 features a new AMD processor, a 2.5K pixel touch display with a 180Hz refresh rate, and a larger 70Wh battery for up to 10 hours of gaming.
The detachable keyboard makes the Z13 easy to use as a laptop or tablet, making it a versatile device. The big difference is the power it offers gamers.
More ROG models
ROG Flow Z13 wasn’t the only update announced today. Acer also introduced new Strix and Zephyrus models. The Strix G16 and G18 are high-end gaming laptops with 16- and 18-inch screens, respectively. These are touchscreen displays with a high resolution of 2.5 thousand pixels, a refresh rate of 240 Hz and a response time of 3 ms.
The Strix is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and the latest Nvidia RTX5090 graphics. They also feature Aura RGB lighting for a true gamer’s feel.
The Zephyrus model is a bit quieter, but still offers impressive gaming performance. The compact G14 Zephyrus has a 14-inch 3K 120Hz display with 0.2 response time, while the G16 has a 16-inch 2.5K 240Hz display with similar response.
Here you get either an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX370 or an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H (on the G16), and an Nvidia RTX5090 (G16) or Nvidia RTX5080 (G14).

Asus Zenbook A14
The biggest non-ROG release is the Asus Zenbook A14, a new version of the stylish 14-inch laptop that competes with the Dell XPS (sorry, Pro) and MacBook Air. It uses a Snapdragon X processor with up to 45NTU TOPS for that AI power and a longer-lasting 70Wh battery that delivers up to 32 hours of video playback.
Prices for all models have not yet been confirmed.
