GeForce Now coming to Apple Vision Pro
Nvidia is expanding its GeForce Now game streaming service to more platforms, including the Meta Quest 3 and 3S, Pico and, yes, even Apple Vision Pro.
On Tuesday, Nvidia announced that owners of select VR headset models will soon be able to stream games directly to their devices. Apple Vision Pro was among the supported models.
It’s worth noting that this doesn’t mean you’ll be able to stream VR games. Instead, you’ll stream games within the Apple Vision Pro environment.
This means being able to play your favorite games on a simulated 100-foot screen. To do this, you will need a GeForce Now account and specify your browser. for service.
GeForce Now offers many subscription levels. The ad-supported free tier allows you to try the service without any monetary commitment. From there, you can pay for the Performance tier for $9.99 per month or $49.99 for six months or the Ultimate tier for $19.99 per month or $99.99 for six months.
Higher subscription levels include additional benefits such as access to more games, longer session times and priority queuing. In addition, players will broadcast from more equipped devices.
There’s no official launch date for the feature, although Nvidia says players will be able to stream games to their headsets when the newest app update, version 2.0.70, starts rolling out in January.
Although you could play GeForce Now games on macOS from 2021 for the first time GeForce Now rolled out built-in support Apple silicon Mac in April 2022.
The service first appeared on iOS and iPadOS. in November 2020.
It is noteworthy that it was first way players were able to access Fortnite after Apple removed the game when Epic bypassed commission fee of 30% in 2020.
