
Genmoji comes to Mac with macOS Sequoia 15.3 beta
Apple recently launched Genmoji in iOS 18.2which allows iPhone and iPad users to create their own emoji using Apple Intelligence. Genmoji is now available on Mac, although the feature wasn’t included in the macOS 15.2 update First beta of macOS Sequoia 15.3.
macOS 15.3 beta 1 adds Genmoji to Mac
Confirmed 9 to 5macOS 15.3 beta 1, released to developers on Monday, finally enables Genmoji for Mac users. The button for creating a new Genmoji can be found in the macOS emoji picker. Users can describe the emoji they want to create, and Apple Intelligence will convert the text into Genmoji. You can basically try anything.
Genmoji are generated on-device, which means they only run on iPhones, iPads, and now Apple Intelligence-compatible Macs. this means iPhone 15 Pro or lateror iPad and Mac with M1 chip or later (Also applies to iPad mini 7).
Beyond that, today’s beta update doesn’t appear to bring any other significant new features. Apple has some other Apple Intelligence features to introduce, such as priority notifications and contextual Siri. However, these are expected to be released with iOS 18.4 and macOS 15.4 next April.
iOS 18.3 and macOS 15.3 are now available to developers as beta software. These updates will likely be released to the public between January and February 2025.
