Google Messages preps deleting sent RCS messages ‘for everyone’

Back in June, the GSMA Association, responsible for RCS, completed the last standard with functions such as the possibility of removing the sent message, and Google Messages prepares support.
About APK Insight: In this post “APK Insight” we defeated the latest version of the application, which Google uploaded to the Play Store. When we decompound these files (called APK, in the case of Android applications), we can see various lines of code within this hint of possible future functions. Keep in mind that Google can or cannot send these functions, and our interpretation of the fact that they are imperfect. However, we will try to turn on those who are closer to the end to show you how they will look in case they are supplied. With this in mind, read on.
Universal Profile 2.7 allows users to “edit, recall and delete the message that they sent earlier for themselves and the recipient of the message.” At the moment, the removal of the message removes it only from your device, not the recipient.
Beta -version 20250131_02_RC00 Google messages includes several lines associated with this. Your options look:
Delete for me Delete for everyone
This requires that all users have the latest version of Google messages, since “messages can still be visible to others in old versions of applications.”
Removal will be noted in a conversation for all parties:
You deleted the message Message deleted by its author The sender tried to delete the message
Universal Profile 2.7 also makes official “answers and reactions (including user reactions) for sending and receiving messages” instead of reporting and iOS exchange applications manually converting reactions. You can also expect built -in/in -line answers from Android (iOS) users, which are included in the links to the message. Soon after it was sent, also cancel the message, and support for native editing on all platforms.
It is not clear when these opportunities turn around.
