Google Moves to Ensure Pixel 4a Battery Safety

Google adds Pixel 4a to your exclusive Battery Performance Programwhich is a very good way to let select Pixel owners know that the company is going to reduce your phone’s battery capacity and charging performance with a software update.

This is actually for the benefit of the phone itself, as Google has determined that “some Pixel 4a phones require a software update to improve battery stability.” Starting today, an automatic software update is rolling out, and if your Pixel 4a is determined to have an issue, you can expect changes to how your phone behaves.

However, Google understands that this is unfair and is offering appeasement to the affected owners.

Battery replacement is available at repair centers in the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Singapore and India. Mail-in repair is also available for US customers.
