Each creature is unique, and once you become strong enough, you can start fighting legendary dragons and get the best rewards in the game. Monster Hunter World has been noted as one of the best ecosystems to explore in the series, and Monster Hunter Rise is considered one of the best entry points into the franchise thanks to several quality improvements to the gameplay formula.
In terms of expansions, Iceborne introduced new monsters, weapons, and more to the base game, and Sunbreak followed a similar pattern. Monster Hunter World and Rise are also great for Steam Deck, so you can join in the hunt while on the go.
