Genmoji for texting and replying

One of Apple’s most anticipated AI features is at the heart of Messages: Genmon Temple.

Genmoji are built directly into the standard emoji keyboard on iPhone, so you can use them in any app, but we all know that Messages is the number one place they are used.

Open the emoji keyboard in Messages and tap the glowing smiley icon in the upper right corner to create a new Genmoji.

Once you create Genmoji, they are saved to your emoji keyboard along with the standard emoji.

You can send Genmoji in messages, but they can also be used as clicks to respond. Just double-click on a message and find your Genmoji in the click suggestions, or browse the full emoji library.

We all know how to attach photos to messages, right? Just click the little plus button in the lower left corner of the conversation, then click the Photos button.

But did you know there are dozens of other little apps and tools hiding behind that plus button? There is a new feature added in iOS 18.2: Image Playground.

Image Playground lets you build original images using Apple Intelligence. There is a complete dedicated New apps on your home screen You can play around, but the Image Playground is also built into Messages natively.

Artificial intelligence can use a variety of inputs to create images in two styles – animation and illustration. You can create an image that depicts the person you want to message, but it could be a superhero, detective, or any other costume you have in mind. Place them in scenes that fit a specific theme, experiment with clothing, accessories, etc.

Whether you want to create an image that reflects a specific person, or is just a random creation of your imagination, there’s a lot you can do with Image Playground.

Find the right word with the help of artificial intelligence

Apple Wisdom has also upgraded its set of writing tools First introduced in iOS 18.1.

Perhaps the biggest change for Messages users is a new tool that helps you fine-tune your messages before you send them.

iOS 18.1 can proofread your text and rewrite it in a few specific styles, but iOS 18.2 adds a new “Describe your changes” option, which can be a huge help when sending text messages.

From time to time we all struggle with drafting particularly important texts. Maybe we know what we want to say, but the words just don’t flow.

Now you can draft some initial text, click the “Writing Tools” button that pops up, and then click “Describe your changes.” You can then tell Apple Intelligence exactly what message you want to convey and let it start modifying the message to suit your needs.

If you’re totally lost, you can now also let ChatGPT draft original text entirely from scratch using the Compose tool, located in the same Writing Tools menu.
