Do you know what it is CES 2025 the hour when giant TVs start blasting through the news. The world’s largest technology trade show, held every year in Las Vegas, is also the chosen platform for Hisense to unveil its latest – and largest ever – LED TV, the 116UX.
Indeed, at the time of writing, the 116UX is the largest LED TV in the world, measuring a whopping 116 inches diagonally. This beats the previous 110UX that Hisense also offers – it’s a 110-inch giant – as the brand happily pushes forward with its ultra-large TV format as it approaches 2025.
Hisense – supplier best tvs Mini-LED format – it also does some of the best OLED TVsBut that’s not its forte: the 116UX uses 40,000 dimming zones on its giant backlight, driven by the brand’s latest Hi-View AI Engine X, to produce images with up to 10,000 nits of brightness.
This is the power of Mini-LED: it can produce super-bright images that surpass OLED and create stunning visual effects. In 2025, Hisense’s new AI engine will focus on four main areas – picture, sound, customization/automation and power consumption/sustainability – to achieve higher picture quality.
This includes a variety of colors – 95% of the BT.2020 standard – extremely high contrast, noise reduction and motion smoothing, as well as local dimming to help eliminate any blurring effects. It’s a big screen with the promise of high image quality and likely a high price tag. But at the time of writing this has not yet been revealed. Although one of Hisense’s main selling points is quality without breaking the bank, the 116UX could be a surprisingly good deal. If, that is, you can buy a house big enough to accommodate it…
