Hisense’s L9Q Google TV projector hits a blistering 5,000 lumens

Hisense has a history of producing impressive ultra-short throw projector options that provide a good Google TV experience. The Hisense L9Q is the company’s latest high-end projector, equipped with a laser system that can output an impressive 5,000 lumens, ideal for uninterrupted daytime viewing.

The L9 series is one of Hisense’s best lineups. The L9H was a huge success, boasting 3,000 lumens of brightness with the ALR screen turned on—the perfect package for those who just want to customize their UST. It offered a stunning 4K picture with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos available in the Google TV package. Now Hisense is ready to take things up a notch.

Hisens L9Q It’s the company’s latest ultra-short throw projector with a patented three-laser light engine. The lightweight engine appears to have received several improvements in key areas. Namely, the projector is capable of reaching 5,000 lumens of brightness, which is one of the highest we’ve seen in the ultra-short throw space. For comparison: Hisense PX3-Prowhich we reviewed is capable of reaching 3,000 lumens. We consider this to be average for daytime viewing. On the other hand, the 5000 lumens rating is exceptional.

Hisense L9Q also delivers detailed and colorful images that highlight the brightness. It covers 110% of the BT.2020 color space and has a contrast ratio of 5000:1, which is very good for a projector in this category. Again, when compared to the PX3-Pro released last year, this is a 2000 to 1 ratio. The projector is designed to take daytime viewing to new heights, and with the included ALR screen and high brightness, it will be fun to watch . look how well the L9Q performs. Of course, the characteristics on the sheet differ from the actual characteristics.

Hisense notes that the new device features a 6.2.2 surround sound system with 15-degree tilted sound, simulating a Roman amphitheater system. As attractive as it is, the device supports Dolby Atmos, DTS Virtual X, and eARC for added compatibility. In fact, the entire design embodies said aesthetic. The L9Q looks luxurious and the gold metallic finish plays an important role in that.

Google TV is the preferred operating system for Hisense and the L9Q will provide everything the OS has to offer. Hisense has done an excellent job of incorporating its own system tools and options into Google’s software, so we wouldn’t expect anything less.

Hisense notes that the L9Q will range in size from 100 to 150 inches, and unlike the L9H, the L9Q will offer keystone correction, so you can upgrade your screen without having to buy a new projector if you want.
