Honor MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon in for review
We like the Honor MagicBook Art 14 – it’s slim and light, and has a lovely OLED display with a 14.6-inch diagonal and a 3:2 aspect ratio. Now we finally get the ARM-based Snapdragon X Elite processor.
when we reviewed Comparing it to its Intel Core 7 Ultra 155H-powered sibling, we concluded that it’s a great laptop but could be better on the Snapdragon side, mainly due to better battery life. Well, it’s been a few months, but the wait is over and we can finally test this hypothesis.
This time we got the starry gray model (not the green one), but it comes with the same 65W charger and USB-C cable. At the time of writing, the Snapdragon model with a single 32 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD configuration costs €1,700, but you can get a €200 discount using a coupon on the Honor website, making it a very attractive €1,500 . You can also get the Honor Pad 9 8/256GB and Honor Earbuds X6 White for free.
Half of the MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon is the processor (heck, it’s right in the name). It’s the Snapdragon X Elite X1E-80-100, with 12 physical cores, 42 MB of total cache, 3.4GHz multi-core frequency, and 4.0GHz peak clock speed. There are only two configurations of the X Elite that are more powerful – the X1E-84-100 and the X1E-00-1DE – but it’s mainly the difference in peak clock speeds – one is 4.2GHz, the other 4.3GHz – that’s not that important.
The Starlight Gray model has a silky-smooth finish – as opposed to the Intel-powered Emerald Green model we reviewed. This is the Snapdragon model, next to the Morandi Blue MateBook X Pro 2024 with Intel Core Ultra 9 185H.
Honor has the upper hand in screen size – 14.6 inches, while Huawei has 14.2 inches.

Another highlight of the Honor MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon is the body. This laptop weighs only 1.02 kg and is equipped with an OLED display of nearly 15 inches. To put it into perspective, the 13-inch MacBook Air weighs 1.24 kilograms and the 15-inch MacBook Air weighs 1.51 kilograms.
The MagicBook Art 14’s OLED display is excellent – 3120×2080 pixels, touchscreen, 100% DCI-P3 support, and an advertised peak brightness of 700 nits.
Honor achieves narrow bezels around the screen by moving the camera away. It sits in a magnetic leather sleeve on the left side of the laptop and snaps onto the top when needed.
We’ll be back in January with a full review of the MagicBook Art 14 Snapdragon!
