How to get married in FFXIV, all options and rewards – Destructoid

If you have someone special that you love exploring Eorzea with, Final Fantasy XIVthere is no better way to show them your love than to participate in an Eternal Bond ceremony with them. In other words, say your vows and get married in an MMO.

Getting married in an MMO comes with a lot of perks, including the ability to teleport directly to each other (with a 30-minute cooldown between uses) and some pretty sweet glamorous items for your collection. There are also gifts for guests and even a two-seat Chocobo mount that can only be obtained for tying the knot.

However, holding an Eternal Bond ceremony is far from so simple. There are three different types of ceremony: one is free and two have an additional cost. Each ceremony level offers different options and different rewards, so it’s worth knowing what you’re getting into before you take the plunge.

Before you can get married, you need to make sure you do a few things:

  • Have at least one class up to level 50.
  • Complete the level 17 MSQ quest “Heirs of the Seventh Dawn.”

you will need to book your ceremony. To do this, you need to purchase your desired plan through FFXIV Online store.

Whichever option you choose (see below for more details on the three options), you’ll need two of them. One person can buy both, or each can buy their own, but it’s a good idea to make sure you’re buying the same plan as your partner.

Once you’ve purchased them both, wait for the Promise Bracelets to arrive in your in-game inbox, then equip one of each. Then organize a party with just your partner and head to the Eastern Shroud together to begin the planning process. Now the fun begins.

Planning a wedding is stressful, even in the virtual world, so be prepared for fun times ahead. To begin, head to the Shrine of the Twelve in Eastern Shroud and speak with Claribel (X:17.5, Y:18.2) to begin the level 1 quest “The Ties That Bind”. The first few steps required to complete this quest are relatively easy, but be prepared to go on a pilgrimage.

After completing the pilgrimage, you will be able to reserve the date and time of the ceremony by speaking with Hawu Bajihri near the entrance to the Sanctuary of the Twelve. Then all you have to do is invite guests (if you need them) and wait for the Eternal Bonding Ceremony.

The three different ceremony levels are divided into Standard, Gold and Platinum. Of course, choosing a higher level brings additional rewards for both you and your guests, but it also comes at a higher price. While you can get married for free and wait until your anniversary to take advantage of all the benefits of the Platinum plan, you may be missing out on some great things, so it’s worth considering all your options.

Some things always remain the same, no matter which option you choose. All eternal bond ceremonies have the following common features:

  • Three MC/Ceremony Style Options
  • “Eternity Ring” and “Hug” emote received after completing the ceremony.
  • An invitation for 80 guests, common to both characters.

Otherwise, options vary depending on which level of ceremony you choose.

Anniversary Celebration in Final Fantasy XIV

If you wish to experience the events of your Eternal Union Ceremony in FFXIVyou can do this every year on the anniversary of your original ceremony. You will need to register your anniversary with Hawu Bajihri at the Sanctuary of the Twelve (X:17.5, Y18.4), and then each year you will receive a notification asking you to re-accept the Ties That Bind quest.

You won’t have to make the pilgrimage again, but you will be able to re-plan your wedding. No matter which initial ceremony option you choose, starting on your first anniversary, you’ll be able to choose from all the options that are regularly included with the Platinum Plan.
