How To Survive Online Play

Dragon Ball: Spark Zero There’s plenty of offline content to enjoy between episodic battles and player-made custom battles. But playing games online is another story entirely. You’ll definitely see more differences when playing against humans than against the CPU, not to mention some of the popular meta patching. But don’t let that stop you from enjoying the casual and ranked multiplayer modes! We’ve broken down the most important tips for surviving online, whether you’re just starting out in multiplayer mode or returning after a while.

Mix up your mix

The most consistent way to deal damage is with your Haste Chain combo. These are performed via the Rush Attack and Ki Blast buttons (X/Y and Square/Triangle for Xbox and PlayStation respectively). More specifically, each Rush Chain is formed by inputting one to four Rush Attacks and ending with a Ki Blast.

You may have noticed that pressing the Dash Attack button will result in a full melee string, ending with the launcher, and even continuing with some disappearing attacks. Although it’s tempting to do this all the time, I don’t recommend it. Not only will it leave a lot of damage on the table, but your opponent will be able to counterattack more easily.

The correct combination requires you to use different charge chains at the same time. Not only does this make responding more difficult; it’s also because you can’t repeat the same chain in a combo. By mixing up these attacks, you’ll have greater success. End some chains prematurely or reposition yourself to keep your opponent guessing and whittle away at their health bar.

Avoid Ki collapse

Your Ki is something else you should focus on. Ki can be used for a variety of purposes, from dashing around to Ki Blasts and Supers. Maintaining it is crucial for both offense and defense. Likewise, you don’t want to enter the Collapsed state. Similar to the stun mechanic, the crash state leaves your character exhausted and unable to move or defend. This state will continue until the red Ki meter slowly replenishes its depleted bar. You can speed up the process by moving the analog sticks or pressing the face buttons.

Ki crashes most commonly occur when you influence action and overspend the Ki you have. Your opponent can also trigger it by causing ward damage when you have less than one bar of energy left.

use your skills

you might think Dragon Ball: Spark Zero Just cause damage and maintain energy. These are the basics that will help you through Episode Battle and its various content hypothetical storyyou need to use other mechanics when fighting real people. Character skills are a mechanic that casual players may initially overlook, but when used correctly, can be a game-changer.

A skill is usually a unique ability or a set of buffs that helps you in combat. They rely on a certain number of skill counts, which means you need to use them strategically. They are usually divided into the following categories:

  • Statistics increased
  • Sparks fly instantly! activation
  • Automatic melee counterattack or dodge
  • combo breaker
  • Debilitating effects (paralysis, blindness)
  • Health or vitality recovery

Learn which skills your favorite characters use. Everyone on the roster has two available, and any switch will swap at least one. While there are many memorable shared skill names for universal skills, such as Afterimage Strike or Saiyan Spirit, some are named after character-specific phrases. It’s almost impossible to figure out what many of them do just by looking at their names. Make sure to pause during your next offline battle and select the “Control Description” option to see what skills you have.

Understand the general weaknesses of each character type

With so many options to choose from, figuring out each character’s strengths and weaknesses can feel overwhelming. Make this easier to manage by understanding the differences between each role type. Although not stated on the surface, each character falls into one of five main character categories:

  • Android
  • huge
  • Ki-based
  • speed
  • strength

Each of these categories may be unique at a micro level, but there are clear similarities between the categories. Androids require a different playstyle since they can’t charge the Ki manually like other units. Speed characters can use more movement options to balance their weaker attacks. However, the game doesn’t tell you which category all fighters fall into. You have to remember it. I recommend spending some time with your favorite characters in training mode to determine which character type they fall into.

Know your moves and counterattack options

Dragon Ball: Spark Zero is a fast-paced game where you want to dodge your opponent’s attacks, launch them up a hill, and then catch up. It’s important to know what moves and counterattack options your character has to better protect themselves and get back to punching.

Let’s say your opponent is far away and about to attack with a super beam. Here are some ways to cope:

  • A timely Vanish or Dragon Dash can avoid it with minimal energy expenditure. With the exception of muscle-bound power characters like Broly or Titan, most characters on the roster can use Z-Burst Dash to instantly hide behind their opponents.
  • Super Perception can deflect beams for two skill counts.
  • ultra sporty Attack tracking is lost when charging towards an opponent. This is only available in Sparking! Modes for speed characters and scattered other characters.

There are also multiple options for dodging or counterattacking at close range. Most of them apply to every character, making them very easy to remember.

  • Vanishing Assault teleports you behind your opponent in exchange for a chi bar. This is a great place to be because there are only a few ways to defend against attacks from behind.
  • Dash high-speed movement can be used midway through a dash chain, teleporting you behind or even to the side of your target. Use half an air bar.
  • Step-in Sway is an additional input after Step-in, which allows you to temporarily avoid melee attacks. Many characters can use this ability, but who can do it almost feels random.
  • Super Perception can also be used to counter surprise attacks. The skill count cost changes based on the attack it counters.
  • sonic swing If you use Super Sense immediately when the attack hits, it will trigger, showing a brief dodge animation before knocking the opponent away.
  • Revenge counter requires two skill counts, but will interrupt any frontal attack and respond with a hit.
  • Super Counterattack can be used against almost anything, including when you attack from behind. All it takes is a good moment and you can knock the enemy away.

Aim for the back

I mentioned it before, but One of the most effective strategies in combat is to attack your opponent from behind. There is little that can be done against attacks from the sides, and even less when they come from behind.

I’ve covered most of the methods for repositioning yourself, but sometimes you can also reposition your opponent. Characters with the ability to use the Charging Chain (Rolling Hammer) will turn their opponent around with the final blow. Some grabs will also launch the target away from you, so this will help remember your favorite fighter’s throws as well as any other moves special throw If they have.

Send a large team to participate in DP competition

Outside of 1v1 battles, Dragon Ball: Spark Zero Trying to maintain balance with its Destruction Point (DP) system. Each character is assigned a DP level from 1 to 10. The low end features Mr. Satan, while the high end includes the most powerful fusions, strongest attacks, and maximum health. DP battles allow you to form a team of up to 5 characters, but their total DP cannot exceed 15 at the start of the match.

It’s very attractive to start these battles with the most elite fighters in the world dragon ball universe. However, DP games are best played against bigger teams. An important aspect of teamfights is marking characters so they can heal. Those ranked higher on the DP scale will have to wait longer to be tagged, meaning they will most likely be eliminated first. Playing with bigger teams will make the switch more feasible.

Plus, you can always count on a character that can shapeshift. Goku (Super) has three transformations at his disposal, not to mention two fusions that also have their own set of transformations. You can treat your game like an anime, starting small and then working your way up to its final form.

Just like any fighting game, Dragon Ball: Spark ZeroIts online mode can be frustrating without a deep understanding of its mechanics. Everything we cover in this guide will give you the foundation to fight the toughest of Gogetas and the occasional Miji Robe. You still need to put what you’ve learned into practice, so get out there and get some real experience!
