As most players can attest, there are very few items in the game phobia Sound sensors can be defeated when used early on, as placing a few sensors in the right places allows you to pinpoint the target’s location in record time. But unlike EMF readers and other entry-level options, getting and using this device requires a few extra steps. Here’s how to get and use a sound sensor phobia.
How to get a sound sensor

After players reach level 11, they can obtain the sound sensor phobia Head to the game store and buy it for $80up to four sensors can be collected at one time. As with all purchasable equipment, any sensors you bring to the contract area will be lost upon your death.
Once you get the standard sensor, you’ll be able to unlock its level 2 and level 3 variants by reaching levels 38 and 58. The sensor also allows you to change the shape of its area of influence to better suit the environment of your choice.
How to use sound sensors in Phasmophobia
Once in your arsenal you will be able to use the sound sensor phobia Use E (on PC) or B/O (on console) to grab it from the truck, then use F or LT/L2 to place it on the ground or any type of flat surface. Once the sensor is in place, you (or any of your squad members) will be able to monitor the equipment by checking the sound sensor screen on the truck and pay close attention to its readings. You can also switch the sensor’s active area at any time by selecting the first icon on the Settings tab.

The best way to use your sound sensor
If you want to maximize the performance of your sensors, I recommend placing them sparsely on the map of your choice, as they will be a big help in finding the haunted house of your choice. For example, in large maps like Sunny Meadows, the Prison, and Brownstone High School, placing the device in an area farther away from the truck can help you quickly locate the room without having to run to a dead end.
Once you’ve found a room, it’s a good idea to move the sensor’s position to cover the immediate area so you can keep a close eye if your ghost decides to go for a walk. When on smaller maps, try to place sensors so they cover multiple or entire rooms with minimal overlap.
